Bicycling

Another beautiful night for bicycle racing. This time it was warmer and I used a monopod and leaned against a tree in a pit! Everyone should check back after a few days for a recap of my exciting weekend ! I've got a wedding and Curt's race to capture! Love, cw!

Try Karoke?

We gave it our best effort! I knew we were in trouble the minute my dad asked Curt if he wanted to try karoke and he replied yes. It was super fun! Hope all our voices were intact today!

Strolling around Lake Grace

Sometimes I forget that we have serene settings right in our backyard! I run on these paths, but don't fully appreciate them on the run because I'm thinking about breathing, finishing, my goals for the marathon, and wondering why I can't run faster. After chowing down on tacos we went for a quick, yet relaxing stroll around Lake Grace which is within walking distance from us. I took some pictures with just the 50 mm prime. Anyway, it was a pleasure walking hand in hand with Curt.
Other nice moments from the weekend: meeting up with Curt's parents for dinner at the OK corral on friday night, double dating with Nate and Nikki (we even saw the Indiana Jones movie...my first one ever!!!!), and swimming in the outdoor pool at Lifetime!

My First Outdoor Ride!

Glorious morning. I wish there was someway to capture the sparkling sun, the flowery aroma, everything...oh well. Curt ran while I biked alongside him. We toured the Clover Ridge neighborhood in Chaska with the cute houses and weird pelican statue. The pelican statue is something Curt has wanted to show me for quite sometime. It stands out like a sore thumb! At night it would be kind of frightening to look at too!

later!

relaxing on the floor

great week. school is almost over. yippee! earlier this week I accompanied Curt to Champs to visit with Hector of iwilltri.com. he has a friend who is working for a company who is designing some cool new running socks. they wanted to get a team of people together to give them feedback about improvements and stuff. kind of cool. with the weather being extra nice Curt has done more biking to and from work. i've been relaxing at night, chilling out on the floor to read, and trying to stay flexible by stretching. also this week I visited a church in lakeville to check the lighting. in a couple weeks i'll be taking pictures for a friend's wedding! i'm so excited!

Racing Season Opener: Gear West Duathlon

I'm going to sound like a broken record, but we had a fantastic wknd with family and friends. It simply doesn't get any better than this. Not to mention the abundant sunshine!!!! Fabulous. Today we made the drive out to Orono for Curt's first race of the season. Weather was refreshingly brisk. There were lots of people racing and I had good company while spectating. It was a good race for Curt and a great way to start summer!

Baby shower slideshow!

Another shower!

Baby Wood walked away with some nice things this afternoon. It was good to see everyone on such a nice day. And...afterwards I got to finally meet baby Cole! Cole has the nicest, most easy going personality ever...me and Curt were totally impressed! Excited to hang out with you this summer!

Married Alive!

What a fun wknd so far! Here are pictures from our time at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. On friday night Doug and Bev took all of us out to see the production Married Alive. It was the best time ever. Funny and touching show too! By the way...Doug and Bev have been married for over 30 years!

Tuesday Night Time Trial

It was a very cold evening for biking. I was excited to come out and watch. It's kind of difficult getting pictures of fast moving objects!!!!! I need more practice! Anyway, Curt was happy with his results. Love you all!

Homemade aerobars?

Our brother in law Josh is pretty crafty...so crafty that he decided to make his own aerobars. His creation came from parts found around the house!!!! These are pictures of Curt testing it out!!! Look forward to Josh rocking the bike at Heart of the Lakes with his wooden aerobars. They are super light weight too!

Happy Mothers Day!!!!

Wow. What a weekend! We thank our moms for all that they do!

This year we were able to celebrate with Bev over breakfast. Then we went to my sister's house to meet up with my mom and josh's mom for lunch. I didn't take any pictures!!!!!

It was a glorious day.

Happy 6-month Wedding Anniversary

Good Start to the Wknd

We've been keeping ourselves entertained. On friday we went to Stella's Fish Cafe and ate on the rooftop. It was nice, but kind of chilly. Curt ordered jumbalaya (sp?) and I had stuffed fish...i forget what kind. very tasty minus the crayfish that we both had stylishly positioned on our plates. Curt decided to dissect one as if he was in high school biology class. do people eat crayfish!?!?! We ventured to Zeno's Cafe afterwards for a quick, but delicious creme brule with a honey/cinnamon latte.

Tonight we saw Ironman. It's a must see! Go see Ironman.

Also, this morning I did the New Prague half marathon. It was a good race for me. I bettered my best time by 13 minutes. Kind of unreal.

Hanging out with the ladies

I never posted a pic from the bachelorette party way back when! We are hanging out at Cafe Latte...mmm...dessert and coffee. It was fun!

Gettin jiggy with it!!!!

Could this be Curt's first outdoor ride of the season?!?! I think yes! He biked into work today! People always ask Curt how many times he has gone riding outside. The answer is not much! I think he may have an aversion to it...just kidding. Anyway, Curt was slightly concerned when he couldn't find something he needed just in case he got a flat. Hope he got in safely!!!
