Scot and Elizabeth were married on a super cold fall day (it snowed), which is just our luck as we also did their engagement shoot on a snowy, cold day at this time last year! The wedding was very warm and touching though as I will remember these things from their day:
1. Elizabeth and her dress. Elizabeth was beaming and happy the entire day. She's as genuine and sweet as they come. The dress, can you believe that her mom made the entire thing!?! It was one of the most memorable dresses of 2009.
2. The amazing touches of deep reds and burgandy at the reception. Very cozy and elegant.
3. The dance. It was a great party. Thanks to the DJ for working with me.
Scot and Elizabeth are awesome. Together we seem to have this "thing" about taking pictures on the coldest, snowiest days of the year :). More to come...
We spent a weekend in Baraboo, WI for the wedding of Tiff and Mike. They are wonderful, wonderful people. You can just see it in their smiles. Really genuine and warm. In fact, when I was going through their images I kept telling my husband, "geez, that is one smiley couple." Memorable highlights from their day: 1. The beach theme. I saw it in the jewelry, flowers, cake, decor, and dance props :). 2. Meeting their families...so very nice. 3. Honest joy and pleasure in being married. I love it.
Joy, laughter, and faith...meet Rose and Kurt. They are each cool individuals. Together they make a sound couple. Rose was cracking up the entire day, singing with her bridesmaids. Kurt was constantly making me laugh with his funny faces. Here is what I'll remember most from their day: 1. Rose...ever so calm, always smiling. I think she was happy to be married :). 2. Their really rich and meaningful ceremony. 3. Playing on the playground equipment across the street. Here is a slideshow of their day...or you can click ***HERE*** to view in a different window.
It was a great morning for a family photoshoot. My connection to this family comes from Mike, a college friend. Mike and his wife Kim have been to the east coast, Australia, and finally back to MN for work and school related things. I hope they stick around for awhile! Check out the slideshow...
